Repurposing an industrial tank reduces waste and promotes recycling, making it an eco-friendly construction choice
Fracking tanks are built to withstand harsh environments, providing a sturdy and long-lasting structure for the tiny home.
Using a repurposed tank can be more affordable than traditional building materials, helping to keep overall construction costs down.
The cylindrical shape and industrial aesthetic of the tank create a distinctive and modern tiny home design that stands out from more conventional builds. Fracking tanks can be modified in various ways to suit different layouts and purposes, from minimalist living spaces to more luxurious setups with added amenities.
Given its origins as a transportable structure, a tiny home built from a fracking tank can be easily moved to your homesite.
Spec tank homes are typically built from 400bbl cylindrical fracking tanks that are 13'-6" in diameter and 20' tall. The benefits to a spec home are: a resonable upfront price, quick turnaround time, and expertise in build process. We are always willing to work with clients on change orders to modify your Tank Home to suit your needs.
If your the "round peg in the square hole" that thinks "a tiny home made from a repurposed frack tank is just not quite unique enough". Then give us a call at once! The fellow round pegs at Tiny Tank Homes would be happy to hear your wildest ideas and try to bring them to reality. Just remember, custom builds come with a custom price tag.
Reach out to our team via phone, email, or our website to express your interest in purchasing a tiny home. During this initial consultation we’ll gather some basic information about your needs, preferences, and budget.
After our consultation, we’ll send you a detailed proposal that outlines the scope of the project, estimated costs, timeline, and terms of service. Once you’re satisfied with the proposal, we’ll draft a formal contract, and once you sign it we can officially kick off the project.
A retainer deposit is required to secure your spot in our build schedule, cover initial design work and cost of the shell. This deposit is typically 10-15% of the total project cost and is non-refundable.
Our design team will create initial sketches and floor plans based on your preferences and requirements. These designs will include the layout, materials, and any custom features you’ve requested. You’ll have the opportunity to review the designs and provide feedback. We’ll work with you through several iterations to ensure the design meets your vision and functional needs.
Shells are sourced from retired oilfield facilities, this means they are usually dirty and "well worn". Upon arrival, our team will inspect, clean, and repair the shell to ensure it meets our quality standards. We’ll then prepare it for the build-out process.
This is the fun part! Our skilled builders will begin constructing your tiny home according to the approved design. This includes framing, insulation, plumbing, electrical work, and interior finishes. Throughout the build, we’ll keep you updated with photos, videos, and reports. You’re also welcome to visit the factory to see your tiny home take shape.
This is it, what you've been waiting so patiently for! Before delivery, we’ll perform a final inspection to ensure your tiny home is ready for occupancy. We’ll arrange for professional transportation to deliver your tiny home to your designated site. Most tanks require a wide load escort and some larger tanks require police escort!
Prior to delivery, make sure your site is prepared with the necessary utility connections (foundation, water, electricity, septic, gas etc.). We can provide guidance on what’s needed. Once your tiny home is in place, our team or your local contractors will connect the utilities. This process includes ensuring all systems are functioning properly and safely.
After the utilities are connected, we’ll do a final walkthrough with you to ensure everything is in order and you’re satisfied with your new tiny home. The remaining balance of your project cost will be due at this time. Once payment is received, the tiny home is officially yours, ready to be enjoyed for years to come!
